Metacognition

Cognitive Strategy

Understanding the mechanics of thought, neuroplasticity, and emotional regulation. Students learn to identify limiting mindsets and create new neural pathways for success.

Executive Functioning

Stewardship

Developing the capacity for goal-setting, time management, and stewardship of personal and digital resources. Students move from reactive to proactive planning.

Vocational Ethics

Business & Character

Applying ethical principles to professional communication, leadership roles, and community service. Students develop character that honors God and serves others.

The Curriculum

12-Week Learning Journey

Four comprehensive modules designed to transform mindset and build practical leadership skills.

Module 1

The Cognitive Foundation

Weeks 1-3

  • The Science of Thought: Prefrontal cortex vs. the amygdala
  • Identifying "limiting mindsets" and neural pathway formation
  • Biblical Integration: "Renewing of the Mind" (Romans 12:2)

Student Outcome

Students create a "Mindset Map" to identify areas for cognitive growth and habit formation.

Module 2

The Stewardship of Resources

Weeks 4-6

  • Executive Functioning Labs: "Stewardship of Time"
  • Moving from reactive schedules to proactive planning
  • The Dopamine Economy: Digital consumption and focus

Student Outcome

Implementation of a customized personal management system (calendars, time-blocking, Trello).

Module 3

Leadership & Social Intelligence

Weeks 7-9

  • Communication Dynamics: Active listening & professional etiquette
  • "The Power of the Tongue" (Proverbs 18:21) in conflict resolution
  • Emotional Intelligence (EQ): Empathy and leadership influence

Student Outcome

Practicum in professional communication and conflict de-escalation.

Module 4

Vocational Vision & Resilient Ethics

Weeks 10-12

  • Strategic Planning: SWOT analysis for personal growth
  • Vocational Calling: Identifying God-given "Bents" and talents
  • Translating talents into career paths and community service

Student Outcome

Final "Leadership Credo" presentation outlining identity, values, and 1-year growth plan.

Our Methodology

How Students Learn

Direct Instruction

Weekly 60-minute instructional sessions led by a certified Life Coach and Mindset Specialist.

Guided Practice

Real-world application assignments (Practicums) completed between sessions.

Progress Monitoring

Mid-semester and End-of-semester self-assessments based on the "Six Pillars of Character" (ARS 15-719).

Portfolio Development

Students maintain a "Leadership Portfolio" documenting mindset shifts and executive functioning improvements.
